I know who holds tomorrow

I don't know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to grey.
II don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what lies ahead.

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Every step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb;
Every burden's getting lighter,
Every cloud is silver-lined.
There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

I don't know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.

Because I don't know about tomorrow, there are many things about tomorrow that I don't understand. But one thing I know for sure, that He knows about tomorrow and that He will hold my hand whether it rains or shines. Because He loves us and is faithful that way. =)

The Power of Your Name

Surely children weren't made for the streets
And fathers were not made to leave
Surely this isn't how it should be
Let Your kingdom come

Surely nations were not made for war
Or the broken meant to be ignored
Surely this just can't be what You saw
Let Your Kingdom come here in my heart

And I will live to carry Your compassion
To love a work that's broken
To be Your hands and feet
And I will give with the life that I've been given
And go beyond religion
To see the world be changed

By the power of Your name
The power of Your name

Surely life wasn't made to regret
And the lost were not made to forget
Surely faith without action is dead
Let Your Kingdom come, Lord, break this heart

And I will live to carry Your compassion
To love a work that's broken
TO be Your hands and feet
And I will give with the life that I've been given
And go beyond religion
To see the world be changed

By the power of Your name
The power of Your name

Jesus, Your name is a shelter for the hurting
Your name is a refuge for the weak
Only Your name can redeem the undeserving
Jesus, Your name holds everything I need

And I will live to carry Your compassion,
To love the world that's broken
To be Your hands and feet
And I will give with the life that I've been given
And go beyond religion to see the world be changed

By the power of Your name

He touched me

Shackled by a heavy burden,
'Neath a load of guilt and shame.
Then the hand of Jesus touched me,
And now I am no longer the same.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met this blessed Saviour,
Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him,
I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole.

El Shaddai

El Shaddai, El Shaddai
El-Elyon na Adonai
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai
Erkahmka na Adonai
We will praise and lift You high
El Shaddai.

Through Your love and through the ram,
You saved the son of Abraham;
Through the power of Your hand,
Turned the sea into dry land.
To the outcast on her knees,
You were the God who really sees,
And by Your might,
You set Your children free.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El-Elyon na Adonai
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkahmka na Adonai,
We will praise and lift You high
El Shaddai

Through the years You made it clear,
That the time of Christ was near,
Though the people couldn't see
What Messiah ought to be.
Though Your Word contained the plan,
They just would not understand
Your most awesome work was done
Through the frailty of Your Son.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El-Elyon na Adonai,
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkahmka na Adonai,
I will praise You till I die,
El Shaddai.

The hebrew words, "El Shaddai, El yonna Adonai, Er kham ka na Adonai" mean "God Almighty, God in the highest, Lord. We will love You, Oh, Lord"

His works never fails to amaze me.
Because He is unchanging
Because He is faithful
Because He is loving
Because He is merciful
Because He never fails to hold my hand and guide me through

El Shaddai, El Shaddai, El yonna Adonai, Er Kam ka na Adonai =)

He understands my tears

It's hard to believe He still loves me
Knowing how wrong I have been
When all I can say is I'm sorry
And all I can feel is my sin

He understands, when all I can do is cry
He feels the hurt that on one can see down inside
And when the words get in the way
I know He still hears
For He understands my tears

You may not believe that I'm broken
For all you can see is my smile
Oh, but He hears the heart that's unspoken
And He gives me strength thru each trial

He understands, when all I can do is cry
He feels the hurt that no one can see down inside
And when the words get in the way
I know he still hears
For he understands my tears
OH and when the words get in the way
I know He still hears
For He understands when no one else can
He Understands my tears

This week has been a very tiring one. I was pretty frustrated with myself because I wanted to be productive at work. But I've been feeling very very tired everyday and I just kept falling asleep during work, which I thought was very bad! And I didn't know what to do because I tried sleeping early but I still felt tired anyway. So that very night, I just burst into tears. Because I didn't know what else to do and I was pretty restless even at work. All I could do was to put on a smile and pretend that all was fine. I know I was being very dramatic and all, but I guess that's just me when I'm exhausted. All i wanted was rest and rest but the cycle did not stop. But thank God for understanding my tears. Because when there's no way, He made a way. When no one understood, He understood and even held my hands to guide me through the rough spot. Thank God that after that very night, I didn't have much time to fall asleep at all because I was pretty much busy with training in the lab and all. And the adrenaline rush from lab pretty much gave me the energy that I need. Yup, I may be tired, but still, I felt good. Thank God for His strength and peace! =)

It is well with my soul / The river's gonna keep on rolling

When peace like a river attendeth my soul
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul

You can tell someone you love'em
From the bottom of your heart
And believe that it's the truest thing you've known
And even if you never break the promises you make
The river's gonna keep on rolling on

ANd if you haven't got a dollar
Not a penny to your name
Somebody's gonna miss you when you're gone
And if even if you never find
Just a little peace of mind
The river's gonna keep on rolling on

Keep on rollin' to the ocean
Keep on rollin' to the sea
Keep on rollin' till the love we need
Washes over you and me

God's love is like a river
At every turn and every bend
And faith in Him will turn your heart around
'Cause even though we sin,
There's forgiveness in the end
And the river's gonna keep on rollin' on

Keep on rollin' to the ocean
Keep on rollin' to the sea
Keep on rollin' till the love we need
Washes over you and me
Keep on rollin' till the love we need
Washes over you and me

It is well with my soul
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

I was at Trumpet Praise the other day and "It is well with my soul" was playing in the shop. So I decided to search for the song on youtube and I found this version by Amy Grant instead. I thought this medley of songs is pretty nice and meaningful =)

Love is not a fight

Love is not a place
To come and go as we please
It's a house we enter in
Then commit to never leave

So lock the door behind you
Throw away the key
We'll work it out together
Let it bring us to our knees

Love is a shelter in a raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
And if we try to leave, may God send angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but it's something worth fighting for

Love will come to save us
If we'll only call
He will ask nothing from us
But demand we give our all
