You brought me home

Your name oh Lord endures forever
Your fame oh Lord for all time
Your praises Lord will leave me never
Your love oh Lord is all mine

To Him my wisdom made the heaven
And His mercy ever lasting
To the One who gives salvation
I lift my soul to You

Jesus, Saviour, holy Lord
I know that You'll never forsake me or leave me alone
My Redeemer, Jesus Christ
Sacrificed Yourself on the cross to bring me home
Your brought me home

Angels

The holiest place there could ever be
All you can do is bow
Before the one who made heaven and earth
Before the Almighty God
For him alone

Sing with the angels
Sing with the angels
Singing the name of the Lord
Singing the name of the Lord

For every soul
He gave it all
Given for all of mankind
Eternal life is His alone
Given to all who believe
In Him alone

Jesus

You stand alone

I don't know why I can't seem to get myself started with Analytical chem. It's really putting me off quite a bit for some weird reason. Argh... Kinda frustrating when you want to study but nothing goes in.

Anyhows, here's a song that has been stucked in my head for quite sometime...

I will lay me down
At Your feet in worship
And listen to the sweetest sound of all

Oh God You are my God
How my heart it longs for You
I'm thirsty for Your presence in my world
I cry out night and day for more
To hold the majesty of You

My God You stand alone
And I worship at Your throne
I will look to see Your power and glory
Jesus Lord of all
Jesus Lord of all

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

I'm pretty much exhausted after today's not so long run. But all the tiredness led me to wonder what I should be focusing in my life. Lying on the sofa or on the bed, feeling immobilised, even driving back to the chalet from church got me thinking, what comes next?

His response is this:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

All I can do is smile and rest in His presence =)

Life Lessons =)

I’ve realised that in life, not everything will move towards the way we want it to go. No matter how much we want to do well in our studies, or how much we want things to be better than what they are, it is never in our control. All we can do is to just give our best and pray that God will do the rest. Ultimately, we have to recognize that we should let His will be done and not ours, that we should be content with whatever circumstances we are placed it. Because, He knows what’s best for us and what is required for us to grow. I’ve learnt to surrender all things to Him and commit all things into His hands. Something which is very difficult and requires a lot of patience and trust. But I’ve come to realized that as we begin trusting in Him, seeking Him and believing in Him, no matter what happens, His peace and joy never fails to reach us because as we live in Him and Him in us, we will experience His faithfulness. We will finally experience how God never fails to honor His promises, that He has never left us nor forsake us, that He is constantly by our side to raise us up and grant us the strength to rise up above our circumstances. I believe that He will make all things beautiful in His time for I’ve truly experienced the meaning of “Ask and you will receive, Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open up to you.” He is our faithful and loving Father. That’s why I choose to love and believe in Him and worship Him as much as I can. I’m not saying that I am a master at surrendering things to Him. But I’m still learning from the Teacher, the Teacher who has shown me new mercies each morning. Each day has become a lesson where the Teacher places you in real life situations to help you understand the importance of leaning towards His understanding and not ours. This journey and lesson has not been an easy one, but not once did He allow me to crumble and fall into that deep hole I dug for myself. Truly, His grace still amazes me and I feel very blessed to have come to know Him. I hope and pray that others will come to experience His grace, His mercy, His love and most of all, how awesome this mighty God of ours is.

Prayer for a Friend

Lord I lift my friend to You.
I've done all that I know to do.
I lift my friend, to You.
Complicated circumstances
have clouded his view
Lord I lift my friend up to You.

I fear that I won't have the words
that he needs to hear
I pray for Your wisdom, oh God.
And a heat that's sincere.
And Lord I lift my friend up
to You

Lord I lift my friend to You.
My best friend in the world,
I know he means much more to You.
I want so much to help him,
but this is something he has to do.
Lord I lift my friend up to You.

There's a way that seems so right to him.
But You know where that leads.
He's becoming a puppet of the world.
Too blind to see the strings.
And Lord I lift my friend up to You.

Lord I lift my friend to You.
I've done all that I know to do.
I lift my friend, to You.

Watching How to train a dragon reminds me of this song somehow. =)

One Thing (Psalm 27)

One thing I desire
One thing I seek
To gaze upon Your beauty
Your Majesty

In the day of trouble
You cover me
In the secret place of refuge
Lord I will sing

So I pray to You
So I pray to You

Lord Your name is higher than the heavens
Lord Your Name is higher than all created things
Higher than hope
Higher than dreams
The Name of the Lord

I will seek Your face
Call upon Your name, Jesus
All I want is You
Jesus

"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.

Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord

Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me.

My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, Lord, I will seek."

Psalm 27:4-8

I don't think it is coincidental for someone to listen to a song and at the same time, chance upon the verses that inspired the song. What a nice reminder You have for me, Lord! =)
